 'The Blessings of Body Stewardship'

    Teachings from 1 Corinthians 6

Honouring the Temple of the Holy Spirit

************************

The Apostle Paul tells believers to see their bodies as sacred, not just as vessels.
He shows that our bodies have a purpose and are made with care.

This view helps us see how taking care of our bodies is linked to our faith.
The Bible teaches us to treat our bodies with respect as a way to honour God.
It shows that taking care of ourselves is a way to show devotion and respect.

This idea should make us treat our bodies with care and respect.
It's important to think about how our choices affect this sacred space.

This verse reminds us that taking care of our bodies is not just an idea.
It's a way to live.
What we do with our bodies affects our spiritual health.

Taking care of our bodies means we can serve others better.
Seeing our bodies as temples helps us live healthier.
Eating well, exercising, and resting are ways to show we care for our temple.
These actions help us and show we care for God's creation too.

● Be mindful of what you eat to feed your body well.
● Stay active to keep your body strong and healthy.
● Make rest a priority to keep your spirit and mind clear.
● Find support from others to help you stay on track.

Living by these principles helps us honour our bodies as temples.
This way, we respect God's design for us.
Taking care of ourselves helps us fulfill our purpose in God's plan.

Understanding this can make us appreciate the link between our bodies and spirits more.

The verse 1 Corinthians 6:12 makes us think deeply about our freedoms and the duties that come with them.

It tells us that just because we can do something, it doesn't mean it's good for us.
Knowing this is key to staying away from sin's trap.

This teaching shows us how to handle freedom and responsibility together.
You have many choices in life that seem okay at first glance.
But, if they harm you, they can trap you.
By following the advice in 1 Corinthians 6:12, be careful and think before making choices.
This can lead to a better life.

Thinking about the effects of your actions can help you make better choices.
It makes things clearer and leads to more satisfying decisions.

Being careful with your choices helps keep your body and spirit healthy.
Here are some important tips:
● Evaluate Choices: Not every allowed action is good for you. Check if your choices match your values for a healthy life.
● Seek Positive Alternatives: Find activities or habits that help you grow and support your life's goals.
● Reflect Regularly: Make it a habit to check how your freedoms affect your overall health.

Being careful with your choices stops you from falling into bad habits.
This shows you respect your body as a temple.
It leads to a deeper sense of freedom that comes from being responsible.

Romans 12:1 tells us to give our bodies as living sacrifices.
It shows how important our overall well-being is.
Good health is a way to say thanks and show respect for God's creation.

'Allan Wilson'
is the creator of many gift friendly notebooks for family, friends, your boss, coworkers and more.
Allan was born again in December 1986, he was baptized by full immersion and received God's Holy Spirit with the Bible evidence of speaking in tongues.

Through the power of Jesus Christ his life changed dramatically, with compulsive gambling, smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol and swearing all ceasing within the first few weeks of his conversion.

In 1990 his wife Michele was also born again.
After 10 years of marriage they seemed never likely to be able to have children, however he says,
"through the loving prayers of our brothers and sisters in the Lord we were blessed with our first born son Samuel in 1995."

It was then the doctor discovered Michele had very advanced endometriosis (a condition which can cause infertility and miscarriages), despite this medical condition the Lord was doubly gracious, with Michele giving birth to twins Benjamin and Nathan in 1998.
